Praise As One

@ CHBC
Hi Friends,
This is Boaz, one of the current interns at CHBC. I am the lead pastor in a local Chinese church in Houston, TX. Eight years ago, I found “Praise as One” Worship Ministry, which efforts on promoting biblical congregational worship theology and resources to global Chinese churches. We have translated 80+ hymns and songs, made 100+ music sheets, and recorded 40+ songs of congregational singing. The ministry website is: laijingbai.com.
事工网站是:laijingbai.com.

There are a number of songs that I call “CHBC songs” constantly running through my mind—songs like Gloryland, Where Shall I Be, I Know That My Redeemer Lives (Job 19:25), He Has Done So Much for Me, and others. These are always at the top of my list of songs I want to translate, record, and share with Chinese Christians. But as you know, these songs may not be easy for Chinese believers to accept and sing well right away.
Gloryland, Where Shall I Be, I Know That My Redeemer Lives (Job 19:25), He Has Done So Much for Me等等。
Recently, a fresh idea came to me: why not just invite the Chinese-speaking congregation here at CHBC to record them? You are already familiar with these songs and passionate about them. And since my time here is limited, why not do it now, right here? So I began reaching out to some of the related people, and here is our rough plan:
Time: Nov. 22 (Saturday), 2025, 2-5 pm, @CHBC

Who should join:
-
1. We will invite Chinese-speaking Christians in this church to join first to form a fundamental congregational voice.
We welcome anyone who can pronounce Chinese through PINYIN (It uses the Latin alphabet (a, b, c…) to represent the sounds of Chinese characters). We will not teach people how to speak PINGYIN, so you might not learn much Chinese through this event, but you may: (1) get a taste of what it sounds like, (2) become more familiar with the sounds of Mandarin, and (3) contribute your voice to help promote good worship resources and congregational singing theology among global Chinese churches.
Especially, if you can sing Alto, Tenor, and Bass well, but are not sure if you are suitable, please let me know, we can talk!
If you are interested in this event, please email Boaz Yang (boazyang91@gmail.com) ASAP to help him prepare this event. We plan to make all music sheets ready by October 26. And if you need any help with PINYIN, let me know. We can even consider having a pre-study/rehearsal event before Nov. 22. If you have any other questions, please also let me know. I look forward to singing with you that day. Exciting!
Boaz Yang(boazyang91@gmail.com
